Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu god of beginnings, who is traditionally worshipped before any major enterprise is the patron of intellectuals, bankers, scribes, and authors. Ganesha is a remover of obstacles. A blue globe above the third eye generates an inward movement. Meditation marks criss-cross in every direction activating the many parts of the physical. The body of this painting is contained in a sculptural solid shape. Within, there is movement in every direction. Perhaps the markings are a calculation of decision making which will allow it to unravel and move forward with clarity.
